Local officials in Sar-e-Pul province stated,that within the framework of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan's policy and based on the decision and guidance of the Sar-e-Pul Provincial Authority regarding a decisive fight against narcotics, a joint team consisting of representatives from the district administration, security forces, and intelligence agencies successfully identified and destroyed 35 plots of land cultivated with opium poppy in the villages of Khaja Yagana and Kaptarsay in Sayad district.

Local officials added that the operation was carried out in full coordination with local people, local councils, and with the presence of representatives from the Counter-Narcotics Management Department.
