In traffic accident in Samangan province eight individuals died and injured

Officials from the Samangan’s Provincial Police Headquarters said that, a traffic accident in the Hazrat Sultan district of Samangan province occurred and as a result one individual died and eight individuals injured. 


Hashmat Rahmani, the spokesperson for the provincial police headquarters, said that around 9 a.m. yesterday (Friday) as a result of two speeding vehicles ( TOYOTA) accident in the Ghaznigak village area of Hazrat Sultan district. a 50-year-old man lost his life, and eight others including women and children were injured.


According to Rahmani, the injured were taken to the provincial hospital in Samangan and traffic management officials attributed the cause of the accident to the drivers’ negligence.

Hundreds of Drug Addicts Reintegrated with Their Families After Treatment in Herat

Officials in Herat province reported, that 400 drug addicts, who had previously been collected from various areas of the province by the Counter-Narcotics Directorate, have been discharged and handed over to their families in good health after completing a three-month treatment program. However, the process was carried out by a designated committee.

High-Tonnage Weighbridge Constructed and Commissioned at Torkham Customs

The Ministry of Finance announced that the General Directorate of Customs has constructed and commissioned a high-tonnage weighbridge at Torkham Customs at a cost of 3.5 million Afghanis, aimed at determining the weight of imported goods. According to the ministry of finance the weighbridge measures 22 meters in length and 3 meters in width, with the capacity to measure up to 120 tons of weight. Additionally, with the installation of this weighbridge, it is expected to prevent revenue loss and overloading, while also significantly accelerating the customs clearance process for commercial goods. It is worth noting that the project was funded by the Ministry of Finance’s development budget and implemented by an Afghan company.

Turkish Consul General, Alongside Afghan-Turk Maarif Delegation, Met with the Governor of Herat

In this meeting, the Turkish Consul General, the Afghan-Turk Maarif delegation, and graduates and students of higher education in Turkey met with Sheikh Mawlana Islamjar, the honorable governor of Herat. Along side, they discussed the educational programs of the Afghan-Turk schools and the expansion of bilateral cooperation.
