Iran pledges to sign cooperation agreements with the Ministry of Higher Education
A meeting of the Leadership Council of the Ministry of Higher Education, bringing together state universities and religious institutions, was held at Kabul University under the chairmanship of Sheikh Nida Mohammad Nadim, the minister of the ministry. Addressing the meeting, the Minister of Higher Education described his recent visit to Iran as productive, saying that Tehran was seeking positive relations and engagement with the Islamic Emirate. Other side, Mr Nadim added that Iranian officials had committed to signing cooperation memorandums between universities of the two countries and to sending academic staff to help activate laboratory facilities in Afghanistan. However, the meeting also discussed the organisation of winter seminars for students from colder provinces, support measures for inventive and innovative students, the establishment of clinics at universities, the distribution of food assistance for students with disabilities, the allocation of budgets for research and laboratories, and other related issues.
