Zaland Haqqani the spokesperson of Helmand provincial police headquarters stated,  that over the past month, security forces conducted several intelligence operations in the center and districts of this province and during the operation which dozens of various types of weapons along with a quantity of military equipment were discovered and seized.

According to Mr. Haqqani, the seized items include 90 handguns, 6 Kalashnikov rifles, 1 sniper rifle, 1 sawn-off shotgun, 20 communication devices, 2 communication chargers, 18 magazines, 10 empty Shreid boxes, 20 empty Shreids, 10 rocket launcher shells, 2 hand grenades, 20 military uniforms, 7 communication device batteries, 8 communication antennas, 2 Ranger communication devices, 1,340 rounds of heavy weapon ammunition, 320 Kalashnikov rounds, and 65 pistol rounds.
