Two individuals arrested on charges of murder in Takhar.

The press office of the Takhar Provincial Police Command announced, in a statement that officers from the second police district have arrested two individuals on charges of murder.


According to the statement, the arrested individuals are residents of the Aq-Masjid village, located in the center of Takhar province. 


Reports added, About a month ago, they allegedly brutally killed a person using Kalashnikov fire and fled the scene. 

Fortunately, due to the efforts of the vigilant and courageous officers of the second police district, the suspects were identified and arrested.


Security officials stated, that the case has been referred to the relevant authorities for further investigation, and preliminary interrogations of the suspects have begun.

Hundreds of Drug Addicts Reintegrated with Their Families After Treatment in Herat

Officials in Herat province reported, that 400 drug addicts, who had previously been collected from various areas of the province by the Counter-Narcotics Directorate, have been discharged and handed over to their families in good health after completing a three-month treatment program. However, the process was carried out by a designated committee.

High-Tonnage Weighbridge Constructed and Commissioned at Torkham Customs

The Ministry of Finance announced that the General Directorate of Customs has constructed and commissioned a high-tonnage weighbridge at Torkham Customs at a cost of 3.5 million Afghanis, aimed at determining the weight of imported goods. According to the ministry of finance the weighbridge measures 22 meters in length and 3 meters in width, with the capacity to measure up to 120 tons of weight. Additionally, with the installation of this weighbridge, it is expected to prevent revenue loss and overloading, while also significantly accelerating the customs clearance process for commercial goods. It is worth noting that the project was funded by the Ministry of Finance’s development budget and implemented by an Afghan company.

Turkish Consul General, Alongside Afghan-Turk Maarif Delegation, Met with the Governor of Herat

In this meeting, the Turkish Consul General, the Afghan-Turk Maarif delegation, and graduates and students of higher education in Turkey met with Sheikh Mawlana Islamjar, the honorable governor of Herat. Along side, they discussed the educational programs of the Afghan-Turk schools and the expansion of bilateral cooperation.
