A water supply network worth millions of Afghanis was put into operation in Farah

The press office of the Farah Governor's Office said in a statement, that a water supply network was completed and put into operation in the Kansk village of Bala Buluk district by the Rural Rehabilitation and Development Department of this province at a cost of more than (6.9) million Afghanis.


According to the source, the network includes the construction of a clean water reservoir with a capacity of (40) cubic meters, the installation of (30) solar panels and the extension of pipes with a length of (10,000) meters, which provided (600) families in the mentioned village with access to clean drinking water.

Officials in Herat province reported, that 400 drug addicts, who had previously been collected from various areas of the province by the Counter-Narcotics Directorate, have been discharged and handed over to their families in good health after completing a three-month treatment program. High-Tonnage Weighbridge Constructed and Commissioned at Torkham Customs

The Ministry of Finance announced that the General Directorate of Customs has constructed and commissioned a high-tonnage weighbridge at Torkham Customs at a cost of 3.5 million Afghanis, aimed at determining the weight of imported goods. According to the ministry of finance the weighbridge measures 22 meters in length and 3 meters in width, with the capacity to measure up to 120 tons of weight. Additionally, with the installation of this weighbridge, it is expected to prevent revenue loss and overloading, while also significantly accelerating the customs clearance process for commercial goods. It is worth noting that the project was funded by the Ministry of Finance’s development budget and implemented by an Afghan company.

Turkish Consul General, Alongside Afghan-Turk Maarif Delegation, Met with the Governor of Herat

In this meeting, the Turkish Consul General, the Afghan-Turk Maarif delegation, and graduates and students of higher education in Turkey met with Sheikh Mawlana Islamjar, the honorable governor of Herat.
