A Water Supply Project Completed and Inaugurated in Kunar.
Abdul Ghani Musammam, spokesperson for the governor of Kunar province, announced that a clean water project powered by solar energy was completed and inaugurated in the village of Muslimabad in Nari district. The project was implemented with financial support from the European Union, technical assistance from the Danish Refugee Council (DRC), and coordination between the provincial Departments of Economy and Agriculture. It cost 5.6 million Afghanis and was officially inaugurated in a ceremony attended by Kunar Deputy Governor Mawlawi Abdullah Haqqani and several other government officials.
According to Musammam, the project includes a water reservoir with a capacity of 370,000 liters, 60 solar panels, 450 meters of pipeline, a 20-meter retaining wall, the planting of 2,000 fruit saplings, awareness programs for 180 farmers, and support for 132 small business owners. The project was completed in six months.
