A long-standing deadly feud in Nuristan turned into friendship
According to the Police Radio report, in Bajgal Valley of Duab district, Nuristan province, a 34-year-long feud between the families of Qari Mohammad Dawood and Haji Ezatullah which had resulted in the death of one person including a woman, and one other injured was resolved and transformed into lasting friendship. This was achieved under the guidance of the provincial governor, Haji Qari Zain-ul-Abidin Abid, and the provincial chief of the intelligence agency, Police Colonel Mufti Mohammad Yousuf Jamalzi, with the efforts of the district governor Qari Habibullah Saber and several local elders.
It is worth noting that similar long-standing deadly feuds have been resolved and turned into friendship before in Nuristan province, and local people appreciate the efforts of the governmental officials.
