287 Afghan Prisoners Released from Pakistan's Prisons in the Past Two Days
Mufti Abdul Mutalib Haqqani, spokesperson for the Ministry of Refugees and Repatriation, said that 287 Afghan prisoners who were held in various prisons across Pakistan were released and returned to their homeland.
According to Mr. Haqqani, despite having valid legal documents, these Afghan nationals had been detained by Pakistan. Through efforts by the Afghan government, they were freed and repatriated.
It is mentionable, that the released Afghans had been held in prisons for periods ranging from one day up to ten days.
