The Ministry of Borders, Tribes, and Ethnic Affairs reported, that under the leadership of Mawlawi Nasir Ahmad Taib, head of the Borders, Tribes, and Ethnic Affairs Department of Paktia province, and through the efforts of tribal elders, religious scholars, and government officials, a 40-year-old conflict between two families in the Lija Mangal district of the province—sparked by certain cultural issues and which had resulted in the deaths of four people from both families was resolved with the consent of the involved parties and transformed into friendship.

It is worth noting, that just a few days earlier, a 110-year-old dispute in Syed Karam district was also resolved by the responsible officials of the Borders, Tribes, and Ethnic Affairs Department.
