Wrestling Selection Competitions Begun Among Dozens of Athletes in Kabul
According to Atal Mashwani, the spokesperson for the General Directorate of Physical Education and Sports, wrestling selection competitions have begun among 120 wrestlers from Kabul’s southern zone.
Based on Mashwani’s information, the competitions have been launched by the National Wrestling Federation in collaboration with the Kabul Provincial Directorate of Olympic Physical Education and Sports, and are being held at the 500-seat gymnasium of the sports authority.
He stated, that the competitions are taking place in 10 weight categories, ranging from 57 kg to 125 kg. At the end of the tournament, 40 top wrestlers will be selected for the Kabul South Zone's representative team.
It’s worth noting that these competitions will continue for two days.
