In preparation for the upcoming Eid al-Adha and to maintain urban order, the Municipality of Mazar-e-Sharif conducted visits and inspections of various city businesses.

The Market Regulation Team of Mazar-e-Sharif Municipality, aiming to strengthen urban order, visited and inspected areas within the 9th district of the city.

Additionally, during this inspection, the team instructed all shopkeepers, restaurants, bakeries, and butcher shops to promptly clear sidewalks to prevent inconvenience to citizens. They emphasized that everyone must act in accordance with municipal laws and warned that any violations would result in legal action.

Furthermore, all shopkeepers and businesses in the area were given guidance on the implementation of the official price list issued by the Mazar-e-Sharif Municipality and were urged to uphold the culture of urban civility.

Hundreds of Drug Addicts Reintegrated with Their Families After Treatment in Herat

Officials in Herat province reported, that 400 drug addicts, who had previously been collected from various areas of the province by the Counter-Narcotics Directorate, have been discharged and handed over to their families in good health after completing a three-month treatment program. However, the process was carried out by a designated committee.

High-Tonnage Weighbridge Constructed and Commissioned at Torkham Customs

The Ministry of Finance announced that the General Directorate of Customs has constructed and commissioned a high-tonnage weighbridge at Torkham Customs at a cost of 3.5 million Afghanis, aimed at determining the weight of imported goods. According to the ministry of finance the weighbridge measures 22 meters in length and 3 meters in width, with the capacity to measure up to 120 tons of weight. Additionally, with the installation of this weighbridge, it is expected to prevent revenue loss and overloading, while also significantly accelerating the customs clearance process for commercial goods. It is worth noting that the project was funded by the Ministry of Finance’s development budget and implemented by an Afghan company.

Turkish Consul General, Alongside Afghan-Turk Maarif Delegation, Met with the Governor of Herat

In this meeting, the Turkish Consul General, the Afghan-Turk Maarif delegation, and graduates and students of higher education in Turkey met with Sheikh Mawlana Islamjar, the honorable governor of Herat. Along side, they discussed the educational programs of the Afghan-Turk schools and the expansion of bilateral cooperation.
