Security officials in Balkh province reported, that a fire in the fourth security district of Mazar-e-Sharif city has been successfully contained.

According to the press office of the Balkh police headquarters, the incident was caused by negligence in a residential kitchen, which led to a blaze in the house.

Further more, Professional personnel and Mujahideen from the Emergency Response and Firefighting Department of the Balkh Police promptly arrived at the scene and managed to extinguish the fire.

Meanwhile, the incident resulted in an estimated loss of 30,000 Afghanis, but the timely intervention prevented adjacent property and goods worth approximately 250,000 Afghanis from being destroyed.
