Israel's Attack on Tehran Targets Iranian Officials and Nuclear Scientists
According to Al Jazeera, citing Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Israel's forces launched strikes on nuclear and military facilities in Tehran in an effort to prevent Iran from developing nuclear weapons.
In response to the attacks, Iranian Armed Forces spokesperson General Abolfazl Shekarchi stated that the operation was carried out with the cooperation of the United States and that residential areas were also damaged. He warned that Israel would face a severe retaliation.
Meanwhile, Tasnim News Agency has reported the assassination of Hossein Salami, the commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), along with two Iranian nuclear scientists during the attack.
