An Air India passenger aircraft, a U.S.-made Boeing model, crashed shortly after takeoff from the city of Ahmedabad, India. The flight was headed to London and was carrying 242 passengers on board.

So far, no official information regarding casualties has been released. Authorities have stated that investigations are underway to determine the cause of the crash and assess possible fatalities.
