Weapons and Ammunition Seized by Police forces in Uruzgan
According to a press release sent to the Police Radio by the Uruzgan provincial police press office, security forces have seized a number of weapons and ammunition during an intelligence operation in the Kherokarez area of Tarinkot, the provincial capital. The source stated that the operation targeted the house of a bodyguard of the former security chief of the previous administration. As a result, security forces recovered a significant cache of weapons and military equipment, including 7 Kalashnikov rifles, 1 M16 rifle, 1 PK machine gun, 1 pistol, 6 radios, a night-vision scope, and several other military items. Meanwhile, police in Uruzgan province have so far arrested one individual in connection with the seized weapons and ammunition. The suspect will be handed over to the relevant judicial and legal authorities after further investigation.
