55 Individuals Participate in Driving License Exam in Samangan

Hashmatullah Rahmani, spokesperson for the Samangan Provincial Police Command, stated that 55 applicants for driving licenses, who had completed a theoretical and practical training course under the supervision of professional instructors, took part in the examination.

According to Mr. Rahmani, the exam was conducted in the presence of traffic authorities to assess the applicants’ practical abilities and theoretical knowledge.

He added, that out of the participants, 38 individuals successfully achieved the required score and will be issued driving licenses after completing the legal procedures. However, 17 others did not obtain a passing score and have been referred back to the training course.

On other side, officials stated that the process of training and evaluating drivers will continue with the aim of raising traffic awareness and reducing road accidents.

Hundreds of Drug Addicts Reintegrated with Their Families After Treatment in Herat

Officials in Herat province reported, that 400 drug addicts, who had previously been collected from various areas of the province by the Counter-Narcotics Directorate, have been discharged and handed over to their families in good health after completing a three-month treatment program. However, the process was carried out by a designated committee.

High-Tonnage Weighbridge Constructed and Commissioned at Torkham Customs

The Ministry of Finance announced that the General Directorate of Customs has constructed and commissioned a high-tonnage weighbridge at Torkham Customs at a cost of 3.5 million Afghanis, aimed at determining the weight of imported goods. According to the ministry of finance the weighbridge measures 22 meters in length and 3 meters in width, with the capacity to measure up to 120 tons of weight. Additionally, with the installation of this weighbridge, it is expected to prevent revenue loss and overloading, while also significantly accelerating the customs clearance process for commercial goods. It is worth noting that the project was funded by the Ministry of Finance’s development budget and implemented by an Afghan company.

Turkish Consul General, Alongside Afghan-Turk Maarif Delegation, Met with the Governor of Herat

In this meeting, the Turkish Consul General, the Afghan-Turk Maarif delegation, and graduates and students of higher education in Turkey met with Sheikh Mawlana Islamjar, the honorable governor of Herat. Along side, they discussed the educational programs of the Afghan-Turk schools and the expansion of bilateral cooperation.
