Conclusion of the International Conference on Drug Control in Doha with the Participation of Representatives from 29 Countries
The international conference on drug control, chaired by the United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) delegation and hosted by the State of Qatar, has concluded in the city of Doha.
Representatives from 29 countries around the world, including the Deputy of Drug Control from the Ministry of Interior of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, attended this conference.
Further more, the focus of the discussions at this conference was joint efforts in combating drugs, creating alternative livelihoods for farmers, and supporting and treating addicts.
At the end, several participating countries praised the Islamic Emirate's actions in reducing drug cultivation and trafficking and emphasized the continuation of cooperation with Afghanistan in this area.
