Mawlavi Sediqullah Quraishi, head of the Information Department at Nangarhar’s Department of Information and Culture, says that due to heavy rains and floods on Sunday, several districts including Lalpur, Momandara, Shewa, and Shinwari have suffered significant financial damages.

Local sources told to Police Radio that the floods have destroyed agricultural lands, damaged many houses, and caused extensive harm to people's livestock and crops.

Other side, the death of one child has been confirmed as a result of these floods, but the full extent of the damages is not yet clear.

Local officials said, that the flooding is still ongoing in the area, raising concerns about further losses.

Meanwhile, regional authorities are calling on charitable organizations, aid agencies, and relevant government bodies to support the flood-affected people and urgently address their immediate needs.
