73,000 Afghan Refugees Have Returned to Their Country in the Past Two Days
Mawlavi Ahmadullah Muttaqi, Head of Information and Culture in Herat Province and head of the Information and Public Committee of the Commission for Addressing Refugees' Issues, stated that in the past two days, 73,000 refugees have returned to Afghanistan from Iran via the Eslam Qala border crossing.
Regarding this, Mr. Muttaqi said that housing accommodations are being quickly prepared for the returning refugees to provide them with shelter.
He also added that the assistance process for refugees is ongoing, with daily cash payments being distributed to each refugee to help them manage their affairs.
It should be noted that Iran has so far expelled two million Afghan refugees from its territory.
