A Bangladesh's Company Intends to Invest in 100–1000 Megawatts of Solar Power Production in Afghanistan

Mohammad Eshaq Abulkhair, CEO of BPTL, a Bangladesh's company, during a meeting with Mawlavi Noor Wali Rahmani, Head of Investment Attraction at the Ministry of Water and Energy, said they are interested in investing in solar power production projects ranging from 100 to 1000 megawatts in Afghanistan and requested cooperation in this field.

Mr. Rahmani, referring to Russia’s recognition of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, stated during the meeting that conditions in Afghanistan are improving day by day and all investors should take advantage of this emerging opportunity to invest in water and energy projects in Afghanistan.

Hundreds of Drug Addicts Reintegrated with Their Families After Treatment in Herat

Officials in Herat province reported, that 400 drug addicts, who had previously been collected from various areas of the province by the Counter-Narcotics Directorate, have been discharged and handed over to their families in good health after completing a three-month treatment program. However, the process was carried out by a designated committee.

High-Tonnage Weighbridge Constructed and Commissioned at Torkham Customs

The Ministry of Finance announced that the General Directorate of Customs has constructed and commissioned a high-tonnage weighbridge at Torkham Customs at a cost of 3.5 million Afghanis, aimed at determining the weight of imported goods. According to the ministry of finance the weighbridge measures 22 meters in length and 3 meters in width, with the capacity to measure up to 120 tons of weight. Additionally, with the installation of this weighbridge, it is expected to prevent revenue loss and overloading, while also significantly accelerating the customs clearance process for commercial goods. It is worth noting that the project was funded by the Ministry of Finance’s development budget and implemented by an Afghan company.

Turkish Consul General, Alongside Afghan-Turk Maarif Delegation, Met with the Governor of Herat

In this meeting, the Turkish Consul General, the Afghan-Turk Maarif delegation, and graduates and students of higher education in Turkey met with Sheikh Mawlana Islamjar, the honorable governor of Herat. Along side, they discussed the educational programs of the Afghan-Turk schools and the expansion of bilateral cooperation.
