Given that the fundamental responsibilities of the Ministry of Interior include maintaining security, enforcing the law, and combating crime, the leadership of the Ministry—based on the decision of the leadership meeting and with the approval of the honorable Minister of Interior, Al-Haj Khalifa Sirajuddin Haqqani—has made it mandatory for all military officials and personnel to wear the uniform approved by the Amir al-Mu'minin (Hafizullah) while performing their duties.

That is while, this measure will facilitate public recognition of the police.
