Zaland Haqqani, spokesperson for the Helmand Provincial Police Command, reported that police forces in the province have arrested a young woman in Lashkargah district who had fled from Herat and was allegedly attempting to leave the country.

According to the sources, she was apprehended with 39,000 Afghanis in cash, gold valued at 8 million Afghanis, and property documents estimated to be worth 5 million USD.

Mr. Haqqani added, that  two other individuals, including another woman, have also been arrested in connection with the case. They will be handed over to the relevant judicial authorities after their case files are completed.
