A New Budget of Half a Billion Afghanis Allocated for Refugees
Mawlawi Hamdullah Fetrat, Deputy Spokesperson of the Islamic Emirate, announced during his visit to Islam Qala border in Herat that a new budget of half a billion Afghanis has been allocated for refugee services and the construction of temporary shelters.
Speaking at a press conference at Islam Qala border, Mr. Fetrat stated that in the past few weeks, nearly half a million refugees have returned or been deported from Iran. He added that the situation at Islam Qala border is under government control and continuous services are being provided to refugees by service committees.
Meanwhile, Mawlawi Ahmad Kamil, head of the service committees at Islam Qala border, said that all refugees receive three meals and drinks daily. He also emphasized that alongside the Islamic Emirate, the presence and assistance of local people are greatly appreciated.
During his visit, the Deputy Spokesperson thanked local authorities, the Refugee Directorate, the Red Crescent, charitable committees, and volunteer youth for their efforts.
It is noteworthy that more than 30,000 refugees enter the country daily through Islam Qala border.
