Ghulam Nabi Nabizadah, spokesperson for the Herat Police Command, reported that a potential fire disaster was successfully averted at Torghundi Port.

According to him, due to technical malfunctions in the fuel storage facilities, there was a serious risk of fire involving eight diesel tankers, one petrol tanker, and two gas tankers.

 However, thanks to the swift presence and timely intervention of firefighting teams and security forces, the threat was neutralized before any fire could break out, thereby preventing possible human and financial losses.
