Local Kurush Competition Held Among 60 Athletes in Shortepa District of Balkh
Hamid Gul Lewal, Head of Publications at the Department of Physical Education and Sports in Balkh province, announced that a local Kurush competition was held in the Shortepa district with the participation of 60 athletes.
The event was organized by the local branch of the Kurush Federation in coordination with the Balkh Directorate of the Olympic Committee and Physical Education and Sports.
According to Mr. Lewal, 10 pairs of athletes ended their matches in a draw, while 20 athletes defeated their opponents and claimed prizes.
The one-night competition aimed to promote and strengthen the sport of Kurush and provide healthy recreation for residents of the district.
