Hashmatullah Rahmani, spokesperson for the Samangan Provincial Police Command, reported that a traffic accident occurred in the Rabatak Pass area of Samangan province, resulting in the death of a Kamaz truck driver.

The Kamaz, which was in route from Balkh to Kabul, collided with a stationary Actros truck on the roadside.

Rahmani stated that the driver sustained severe injuries and died on the way after being transferred to a hospital and referred to Balkh for further treatment. 

Traffic officials in Samangan cited driver negligence as the cause of the incident, adding that an investigation is underway.
