Burning of 32 Tons of Expired Medicine in Nimroz
The Press Office of the Governorate of Nimroz announced in a statement that 32 tons of low-quality and expired medicine, which had been collected in recent months by the National Directorate of Food and Drugs in Nimroz, were burned by court order.
The statement said, that Sheikh Mohammad Qasim Khalid, the governor of Nimroz, during the ceremony of burning these medicines, stated that the Islamic Emirate is committed to the health of its citizens and will prevent the import of expired items.
However, he also emphasized that expired medicines turn into poison and no one has the right to import such items through Nimroz.
