The latest high-level meeting between U.S. President Donald Trump and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin in Alaska has been described as an important step toward ending the war in Ukraine.

However, the three-hour session between the two leaders, which did not result in a ceasefire agreement and only included an invitation for President Trump to visit Moscow, has raised more questions than answers.
