ARCS Seeks Cooperation of Qatar Red Cross in Treatment of Patients with Heart Defects

The Deputy President of Afghan Red Crescent Society (ARCS) Mullah Nooruddin Turabi, in a meeting with a representative of Qatar Red Cross, Ahmad Al-Osmani, asked for cooperation in the treatment of children suffering from congenital heart defects. According to a statement released by ARCS, Mr.Turabi discussed the treatment of children with congenital heart defects, and some of the treatment of patients with heart defects is not possible in Afghanistan. According to the statement, Ahmad Al-Osmani, the representative of the Qatar Red Cross, pledged cooperation in creating facilities to assist the Afghan Red Crescent in this endeavor.

39 Recovered Drug Addicts Reunited with Their Families in Four Provinces

The Ministry of Interior announced on Wednesday that 39 individuals who had completed their treatment for drug addiction were discharged from rehabilitation centers and handed over to their families. According to a statement from the Counter-Narcotics Deputy Ministry, these individuals had previously been collected by police from various locations in the provinces of Kunduz, Parwan, Samangan, and Paktia.

Balkh Province Launches Tick Eradication and CCHF Prevention Campaign

The Balkh Directorate of Agriculture, Irrigation, and Livestock has launched a campaign to combat ticks and prevent the spread of Crimean-Congo Hemorrhagic Fever (CCHF). Based on reports, in coordination with the District Agriculture and Livestock Services Office of Dawlatabad and supported by the ACTED organization, the campaign involves spraying pesticides in local markets to eliminate ticks and reduce the risk of CCHF transmission.

Nine addicts were collected and sent to a rehabilitation camp

Mawlawi Shir Ahmad Burahani, spokesperson for the Police Headquarters of Baghlan province, said that the narcotics police forces in the province collected nine addicts from various districts of Pulkhumri city and sent them to the rehabilitation center called "Zendagy Dobara," located in the province, for treatment. It is worth noting that the previous day, police forces in the province also collected and sent ten addicts to the rehabilitation camp for treatment.
