3,000 tons of humanitarian aid from Tajikistan for earthquake victims in the eastern provinces
A large convoy of humanitarian assistance from Tajikistan, consisting of rice, oil, drinking water, tents, clothing, blankets, and other essential supplies, crossed into the country via the Sher Khan trade port.
Haji Baitullah, spokesperson for the Kunduz governor’s office, said that Mawlawi Habib-ur-Rahman, the Deputy Governor of Kunduz, while welcoming the convoy, expressed gratitude to the government and people of Tajikistan and assured that the aid would be distributed transparently to the rightful beneficiaries.
According to him, a representative of the Tajik government, during the handover ceremony, also referred to Afghanistan as a friendly country and expressed condolences and solidarity with the earthquake victims.
