Work begins on preparing the expansion site of Torghundi Port at the zero point border with Turkmenistan

Local officials said, that the Herat Department of Public Works, under the direction of Sheikh Mawlana Islamjar, the governor of Herat, has launched the groundwork for the expansion of Torghundi Port at the zero point border with Turkmenistan.


Mufti Mohammad Yusuf Saeedi, spokesperson for the governor’s office, stated that according to agreements, Turkmenistan’s Railway Authority will soon begin the construction of administrative facilities, hangars, a mosque, and railway lines.


He further added, that through the efforts of Governor Sheikh Mawlana Islamjar, all employees and laborers for this major project will be recruited from the domestic workforce.

Oman pardons 33 Afghan prisoners on Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) birthday

The Embassy of Afghanistan in Oman said, that Sultan Haisam bin Tariq has pardoned 33 Afghan nationals on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad PBUH. According to the embassy, the prisoners had been held in Oman for varying periods and will soon be repatriated to Afghanistan. Additionally, the Afghan embassy welcomed the move, describing it as an important step towards strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries.

Islamic Emirate Approves Law on Distribution, Sale of State-Owned Lands

Shaikh Mullah Hebatullah Akhundzada, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Emirate, has approved a law authorizing the distribution and sale of state-owned land designated for housing and commercial purposes nationwide, the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs said in a statement on Tuesday. “Only lands that belong exclusively to the government and have been earmarked for urban development will be distributed based on a well-defined and structured plan, aligned with ongoing infrastructure progress and urban planning standards,” the statement said. According to the statement, a special committee led by the Administrative Office of the Prime Minister drafted the law, which has now been officially approved by the leadership of the Islamic Emirate, allowing the distribution and sale of state-owned land designated for housing and commercial purposes across the country. The new law on the distribution and sale of the state-owned land, as well as the issuance of construction permits, consists of a preamble, 4 chapters, 6 sections, and 38 articles, aimed at regulating and facilitating transparent land distribution and urban construction processes.

Afghan envoy in Moscow meets Qatari ambassador

Afghanistan’s ambassador in Moscow, Mawlawi Gul Hassan Hassan, has met Qatar’s ambassador to Russia, Ahmad bin Nasser Al Sani. According to the Afghan embassy, the two sides discussed Islamic solidarity, friendly relations and mutual cooperation, as well as Afghanistan’s economic growth, investment and stability. Additionally, during the meeting, Hassan strongly condemned the recent Israeli attack on Doha, calling it a blatant violation of international norms and an infringement on Qatar’s territorial integrity. Both sides also underlined the need to further strengthen ties and continue cooperation.
