Herat police spokesperson Ghulam Nabi Nabi Zada said three individuals have been arrested for allegedly drugging victims with sedatives and stealing their belongings in different parts of the city.

Mawlawi Shah Wali Rahmat, head of Herat’s anti-crime department, said the suspects mixed sleeping medicine into drinks to render people unconscious before committing the thefts. He added that the arrests were made by the department for combating crimes, in coordination with the units for cybercrime and abductions.
