At least 91 Palestinians killed in Israeli attacks on Gaza

Al Jazeera reports that at least 91 Palestinians were killed in Israeli strikes on Gaza City on Tuesday, 25 September. The attacks also destroyed 17 residential houses in the city.


This comes a day after Israeli forces launched a ground operation to seize Gaza City on Monday, 24 September.

U.S. President Donald Trump has arrived in the United Kingdom on his second official visit. According to Reuters, the trip will include the signing of trade and investment agreements between the U.S. and the UK. Trump’s first official visit as president was to the Middle East.

Afghanistan’s acting defence minister visits Qatar Mawlawi Mohammad Yaqoob Mujahid, the acting defence minister of the Islamic Emirate, has visited Qatar where he held talks with Dr: Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al Khulaifi, Minister of State at Qatar’s Foreign Ministry. The meeting focused on strengthening relations between Afghanistan and Qatar, enhancing bilateral cooperation, and Qatar’s support for the positions of the Islamic Emirate.

Luxembourg to recognize Palestine as an independent state

Luxembourg’s Prime Minister Luc Frieden and Foreign Minister Xavier Bettel have told a parliamentary committee that their country intends to recognise Palestine as an independent state at the upcoming session of the UN General Assembly. The foreign minister further, added that he will submit a bill to parliament enabling Luxembourg to take further steps, including possible sanctions against Israel. Australia, Canada, Belgium and the United Kingdom have previously announced their intention to recognise Palestine at the UN General Assembly.
