Shaikh Mullah Hebatullah Akhundzada, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Emirate, has approved a law authorizing the distribution and sale of state-owned land designated for housing and commercial purposes nationwide, the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs said in a statement on Tuesday.
“Only lands that belong exclusively to the government and have been earmarked for urban development will be distributed based on a well-defined and structured plan, aligned with ongoing infrastructure progress and urban planning standards,” the statement said.
According to the statement, a special committee led by the Administrative Office of the Prime Minister drafted the law, which has now been officially approved by the leadership of the Islamic Emirate, allowing the distribution and sale of state-owned land designated for housing and commercial purposes across the country. The new law on the distribution and sale of the state-owned land, as well as the issuance of construction permits, consists of a preamble, 4 chapters, 6 sections, and 38 articles, aimed at regulating and facilitating transparent land distribution and urban construction processes.
