Iranian Delegation Arrives in Kabul for Talks on Bilateral Trade Relations
The Ministry of Industry and Commerce said Monday, that an Iranian delegation arrived in Kabul to discuss strengthening bilateral trade and investment relations. The delegation led by Sayed Mohammad Atabak, Minister of Industry, Mine, and Trade of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the statement said. “The purpose of the Iranian delegation’s visit is to identify challenges and obstacles to enhance bilateral trade and facilitate transit and joint investment opportunities between the two neighboring countries,” the statement said. According to the statement, the delegation is scheduled to meet with the Deputy Minister of Economy, as well as officials from the Ministries of Industry and Commerce, Mines and Petroleum, Public Works of the Islamic Emirate, and members of Afghanistan’s private sector. Following the meetings in Kabul, the delegation will travel to Herat province to visit key infrastructure projects, including the railway, mining operations, and the Islam Qala border port, the statement added.
