Officials in Laghman province said, a traffic accident on the Kabul–Jalalabad highway has left two individuals dead and eight others injured.

The provincial administration reported that the crash occurred around 1:30pm in the Khero Khil area of Qarghayo district, when two Toyota Fielder vehicles collided due to reckless driving. Among the victims were women.

Traffic officials arrived at the scene shortly after the accident, and the wounded were taken to Nangarhar regional hospital for treatment.

However, health sources said the condition of the injured was stable.
