US Senator Bernie Sanders calls Israel’s war in Gaza “genocide”
Prominent US Senator Bernie Sanders has described Israel’s war in Gaza as “genocide” and said Washington must stop sending billions of dollars and weapons to what he called the “genocidal Netanyahu administration.”
He is the first American senator to label the war in Gaza as genocide.
Writing on his website, Sanders said, that Israel has waged a “full-scale war” against the Palestinian people over the past two years.
His remarks came a day after a UN Commission of Inquiry report concluded that Israel’s war in Gaza amounts to genocide.
