UK pledges additional £3m for Afghanistan earthquake relief
Britain’s Special Envoy for Afghanistan, Richard Lindsay, has announced that the UK will provide an extra £3 million to support victims of the recent earthquakes in eastern Afghanistan.
In a post on X, Lindsay said the funds will be used to deliver healthcare, safe drinking water, temporary shelters and medical kits to those affected.
The UK had previously allocated £1 million in assistance for the earthquake response.
