Balkh Etihad Team Successfully Climbs Miana Peak

Nine climbers from the Balkh Etihad team, led by Dr. Khushal Safi and Reshad Akbari, a member of Afghanistan’s national mountaineering team, have successfully scaled Miana Peak, which stands 1,500 meters high in Nahr-e-Shahi district.


According to the Balkh Mountaineering Federation, the ascent aimed to improve the climbers’ physical fitness and encourage young people to take up the sport of mountaineering.

Today’s match began with Afghanistan batting first, setting a target of 211 runs for Zimbabwe. In response, Zimbabwe played all its overs but managed to score only 201 runs, falling short of the target. It is worth noting that Afghan player Rahmanullah Gurbaz scored the highest runs in the match with 92, followed by Ibrahim Zadran, who made 60 runs off 49 balls.

Afghanistan’s national under-17 futsal team has won the Asian Championship

Afghanistan’s national under-17 futsal team has become the champion of the 2025 Asian Youth Championship after defeating Iran. In the final match, Afghanistan’s U-17 futsal team triumphed over Iran with a score of 2–1, securing the gold medal in the tournament. Basically, this marks Afghanistan’s first-ever championship title in the history of the U-17 Asian Futsal competitions.
