Saudi Arabia’s $368 million cash aid to Yemen

Reuters reports that Saudi Arabia is providing around 1.38 billion riyals (about 368 million dollars) in aid to the Yemen's government.


According to the report, the new financial assistance will be delivered through the Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen to support the government’s budget.


Saudi Arabia has previously provided billions of dollars in aid and deposits to support the Aden-based government.

Trump threatened the Nigerian government with military action

U.S. President Donald Trump, in response to what he described as the massacre of Christians in Nigeria, has warned the Nigerian government that Washington may cut aid and cooperation, and that U.S. military forces could be deployed to Nigeria. The former president urged the Nigerian government to stop the killings of Christians in the country and ordered the Pentagon to be prepared for a potential action in Nigeria.

Syrian President Ahmed Shar’ah is expected to visit Washington

The U.S. Special Envoy for Syria, Tom Barrack, has said that Syrian President Ahmed Shar’ah is expected to visit Washington. Reuters reported that this would be the first visit of a Syrian leader to the U.S. capital. According to a White House official, the visit is expected to take place around November 10. Meanwhile, Syrian officials have also stated that the visit is anticipated within the next two weeks.
