Fire Brought Under Control in Mazar-e-Sharif


Hafiz Mohammad Isa Wasiq, spokesperson for the Balkh Police Command, stated that today, Saturday, a fire broke out in a room in District 4 of Mazar-e-Sharif due to an electrical short circuit.


According to Mr. Wasiq, the incident was promptly controlled thanks to the swift efforts of professional personnel and the operational emergency and fire-fighting teams of the Balkh Police Command.


He added that the fire caused approximately 5,000 Afghanis in damages, while neighboring property and goods worth around 300,000 Afghanis were successfully saved from destruction.

Arrest of Eight Gamblers in a Residential House in Balkh

Hafiz Mohammad Isa Wasiq, spokesperson for the Balkh Police Command, said today (Sunday) that the sixth security zone police in Balkh arrested eight individuals who were gambling in a residential house. According to him, a sum of cash was seized, including 500 US dollars, 50 euros, and 42,890 Afghanis. After preliminary investigations, the cases of these individuals will be referred to judicial authorities for further proceedings.

A large quantity of weapons and ammunition seized by security forces in Samangan

Hashmatullah Rahmani, spokesperson for the Samangan Police Command, said that security forces from the Dara-e-Suf Bala district police command carried out a precise and targeted operation last night, during which they discovered and seized a significant amount of weapons and ammunition from irresponsible individuals. According to him, as a result of this operation, one PK machine gun, one rocket launcher, one Kalashnikov rifle, seven rocket rounds, fifteen hand grenades, four mortar shells, 146 PK bullets, and a quantity of other ammunition were recovered.
