According to the latest report from the Secretariat of the High Commission for Refugee Affairs, thousands of Afghan refugees have been forcibly returned to the country via various routes and have received necessary assistance.


The report indicates that on Friday alone, a total of 1,240 families, comprising 7,117 individuals, were registered and biometrically verified after returning through the following points: Islam Qala in Herat, Wareeshmo in Nimroz, Spin Boldak in Kandahar, Torkham in Nangarhar, and Bahramcha in Helmand.


Support was provided to 1,284 families for transportation and relocation, ensuring their safe transfer to their designated provinces. Additionally, cash assistance was given to 1,446 families by the Financial Affairs Committees.


The Health, Communications, and Public Awareness Committees distributed essential items to the returning refugees, including food, water, healthcare services, and SIM cards.


Notably, 996 SIM cards were distributed among the refugees according to the latest report.
