Six-Month Report of Baghlan Fire Department

Mawlawi Shir Ahmad Barahani, spokesperson for Baghlan Police Command, stated that the personnel of the province’s Fire Department responded to 24 fire incidents in various areas during the first six months of the current year.


He further added, that the fire teams saved people’s property worth over 14.5 million Afghanis from destruction, while approximately 682,000 Afghanis in financial losses were reported.

A fire that broke out near the entrance gate of Kabul International Airport Customs due to an electrical short circuit was promptly controlled by the airport customs’ security and firefighting personnel from the Protection and Special Operations Unit, preventing any potential damage or financial loss.

Arrest of Eight Gamblers in a Residential House in Balkh

Hafiz Mohammad Isa Wasiq, spokesperson for the Balkh Police Command, said today (Sunday) that the sixth security zone police in Balkh arrested eight individuals who were gambling in a residential house. According to him, a sum of cash was seized, including 500 US dollars, 50 euros, and 42,890 Afghanis. After preliminary investigations, the cases of these individuals will be referred to judicial authorities for further proceedings.

A large quantity of weapons and ammunition seized by security forces in Samangan

Hashmatullah Rahmani, spokesperson for the Samangan Police Command, said that security forces from the Dara-e-Suf Bala district police command carried out a precise and targeted operation last night, during which they discovered and seized a significant amount of weapons and ammunition from irresponsible individuals. According to him, as a result of this operation, one PK machine gun, one rocket launcher, one Kalashnikov rifle, seven rocket rounds, fifteen hand grenades, four mortar shells, 146 PK bullets, and a quantity of other ammunition were recovered.
