Kim Jong-un, the leader of North Korea, has inaugurated a military exhibition titled “Defense Development – 2025” held to mark the 80th anniversary of the Workers’ Party.

According to the Korean Central News Agency, advanced weapons and modern military equipment of the country’s army were showcased at the event.

Kim Jong-un said the weapons were developed for the defense of his country.

He described U.S. military expansion as a “real threat” to the region and stressed that if Washington ignores these threats, Pyongyang will be forced to take further military and technical measures.
