Arrest of a Woman in Herat on Charges of Stealing Three Million Afghanis in Cash

The Ministry of Interior says that the police forces of Herat Provincial Police Command have arrested a woman on charges of stealing three million Afghanis in the province.


Mufti Abdul Mateen Qani, spokesperson for the Ministry of Interior, announced the arrest in a press release today.


The spokesperson stated that the woman has confessed to her crime and emphasized that the stolen money has been returned to its rightful owner.

Arrest of Eight Gamblers in a Residential House in Balkh

Hafiz Mohammad Isa Wasiq, spokesperson for the Balkh Police Command, said today (Sunday) that the sixth security zone police in Balkh arrested eight individuals who were gambling in a residential house. According to him, a sum of cash was seized, including 500 US dollars, 50 euros, and 42,890 Afghanis. After preliminary investigations, the cases of these individuals will be referred to judicial authorities for further proceedings.

A large quantity of weapons and ammunition seized by security forces in Samangan

Hashmatullah Rahmani, spokesperson for the Samangan Police Command, said that security forces from the Dara-e-Suf Bala district police command carried out a precise and targeted operation last night, during which they discovered and seized a significant amount of weapons and ammunition from irresponsible individuals. According to him, as a result of this operation, one PK machine gun, one rocket launcher, one Kalashnikov rifle, seven rocket rounds, fifteen hand grenades, four mortar shells, 146 PK bullets, and a quantity of other ammunition were recovered.
