New French Prime Minister resigns hours after cabinet announcement
Agence France-Presse (AFP), citing the French presidential office, has reported that Sébastien Lecornu, France’s newly appointed prime minister, has resigned from his position.
According to the report, President Emmanuel Macron accepted Lecornu’s resignation just a few hours after the announcement of his new cabinet.
It is noteworthy that last month, President Macron had appointed Lecornu — the former Minister of Defense — as the country’s new prime minister.
