Hundreds of Afghan Refugees Return Home, Receiving Services from the High Commission for Refugee Affairs
The Secretariat of the High Commission for Refugee Affairs reported that on Monday, hundreds of Afghan refugees returned to the country through various routes, and relevant committees provided them with necessary services.
According to the commission’s report, a total of 810 families, comprising 4,245 individuals, were registered, and 913 families, totaling 5,229 members, were relocated to different provinces, with all families receiving financial assistance.
Specifically, 138 families entered the country via Islam Qala, 50 families via Wresham Road, 429 families via Spin Boldak, and 193 families via Torkham.
Officials stated that, during this process, health service committees treated dozens of individuals, distributed nearly 700 SIM cards along with free internet packages, and provided public awareness on the country, the Islamic system, education, and tolerance.
The Secretariat of the High Commission for Refugee Affairs emphasized that the process of returning refugees and meeting their basic needs will continue in an organized manner.
