As part of his official visit, Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi, Afghanistan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, held a meeting and delivered a speech to Afghans and Afghan businesspeople based in India, in New Delhi.

During the meeting, Mr. Muttaqi highlighted the achievements of the Islamic Emirate over the past four years, stating that due to the Emirate's balanced foreign policy, doors for engagement with all countries around the world have been opened.

Referring to Afghanistan’s strategic location, Mawlawi Muttaqi said:

“Afghanistan is the connecting point between South and Central Asia, which had turned into a center of conflict during the past two decades, but has now once again become an important hub of connectivity in an atmosphere of peace and stability.”

The Foreign Minister further stated that major national projects such as the Qosh Tepa Canal, CASA-1000, and TAPI are progressing rapidly—calling them the biggest achievements of the past two decades.

Regarding his visit, Mr. Muttaqi said that he had held discussions with Indian officials on strengthening diplomatic relations between the two countries, expanding trade, and establishing a joint committee to enhance business opportunities.

He also noted that both countries have agreed on the establishment of air corridors to facilitate the movement of commercial goods, so that Afghan and Indian traders can easily transport their products.
