The Islamic Emirate has strongly condemned the recent airstrikes by Pakistan’s military regime on civilian areas in Paktika Province, calling them a clear violation of Afghanistan’s sovereignty and a repeated act of aggression.
In an official statement, the spokesperson of the Islamic Emirate, Mawlawi Zabihullah Mujahid, said that these attacks claimed the lives of several civilians and injured many others. He added that the Islamic Emirate considers such actions as provocative and as attempts to prolong the conflict.
At the same time, a high-level delegation led by the Acting Minister of National Defense, Mawlawi Mohammad Yaqub Mujahid, has traveled to Doha today for negotiations between Afghanistan and Pakistan.
Mujahid stated that although the Islamic Emirate reserves the right to respond to any violation of its territorial integrity, it has instructed its forces to refrain from any new movements out of respect for the negotiation team and the ongoing diplomatic efforts.
He emphasized that the Islamic Emirate believes in resolving issues through peaceful means and achieving lasting stability in the region, but said that the recent actions and violence reflect the aggressive stance of the Pakistani side.
